CINNAMON HILL GOLF COURSE

Originally designed by Hank Smedley in 1969, the course underwent a significant redesign in 2001 by renowned architects Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril.

One of the course’s standout qualities is its diversity in landscape. The front nine holes run along the Caribbean Sea, providing stunning ocean views and the refreshing sensation of coastal breezes. In contrast, the back nine holes ascend into the lush Jamaican hills, reaching elevations up to 350 feet above sea level, offering panoramic vistas and a more challenging terrain.

History adds an intriguing layer to the Cinnamon Hill experience, as the course is located on a former sugar plantation. Some remnants of this past, like the 18th-century aqueduct and plantation ruins, can still be seen along the course, giving golfers a sense of stepping back in time. Additionally, one hole is close to the site where scenes from the James Bond movie “Live and Let Die” were filmed, adding a dash of Hollywood allure to the round.

You can also enjoy the course’s rich natural elements, including several picturesque water features, such as a waterfall by the 15th green, which creates a serene yet dramatic atmosphere. Wildlife sightings are common here as well, with tropical birds adding to the island ambiance. Cinnamon Hill Golf Course has also received numerous accolades. It was named Jamaica’s Best Golf Course in 2022 by the World Golf Awards. The course has been nominated multiple times for both Jamaica’s Best Golf Course and Caribbean’s Best Golf Course. These awards highlight the course’s exceptional quality and its reputation as one of the premier golfing destinations in the region.

• Single Golfer

Golfers that book as a single may be subject to being paired up with golfers one tee time earlier or later than the originally scheduled tee time.

• Weather Conditions

Activities may be affected by adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or storms. These can lead to cancellations, pausing, or rescheduling for safety reasons.
